Where We Slept... Poem by sania harris

Where We Slept...

My dad worked and worked and worked
And at the end he earned a lot

With the Pain staked money he bought a house
And in I found spiders and lizards and what not!

It had a tiny room, a kitchen in the side
And a vast washroom, four elephants could reside

Mom fancied the small room, to be the guest room
While I craved it to be my little study room

Dad snooped close enough and settled with moms’ wish
Making mom glad, was more than what he wanted

The room was brilliantly set, ready for the guests
The kitchen was filled and the washroom scrubbed

Now night crept its way, and where will we sleep?
Went to the huge washroom and there we sleep!
