Where We Once Strolled Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Where We Once Strolled

Rating: 5.0

Those long summer days,
Just strolling through the hills,
In so many ways,
I remember them still.

Good memories don't leave you,
They stay in the heart,
It's hard to believe now,
That we are apart.

There on the mountain,
Those memories remain,
I long to go back there,
Again and again.

In the cool morning breeze,
The bright morning sun,
You'll stay with me always,
Till my life is done.

Thank God for having endowed us with a mind that remembers. And with poetesses/poets who bring a fresh perspective on those memories through their beautiful poetry.
