Where's The Star? Poem by Stephanie Saba

Where's The Star?

You are the brightest light, and when you smile even the sun can't behold your glow
And those eyes that look like the starry sky, even they can't see you've got me hypnotized.
You'll have nothing to fear when your with me, not a thing will harm you my princess,
so come out of your castle, the dragon was slain, out of a pure hearts true love for you.
I don't need anything except to see you smile, just a glance of it makes my entire life worth while.
And everytime you touch me I feel that tingle crawl up my spine
as my heart races faster, our hearts intertwined.
Whenever your with me I can't even blink, because a second without you
feels like an eternity of happiness is lost.
Everytime you frown the birds stop singing, and everytime you cry my heart stops beating
Can't you see your smile is the beat, your laugh is the harmony, you are the melody, of my hearts song
And then a tragedy, I let it all go wrong...
Now the only time I see you is in my dreams, I never want to wake,
letting you leave was my biggest mistake
If there was only one shooting star and I could wish for anything, I'd wish for you to be mine again
So I'll walk outside, gaze upon the sky and pray
for that shooting star to come my way.
