Here I lay
across Your chest
Silently pondering...

Pondering how I got the best
How You ignore all the rest
How I am put on a pedestal
in Your eyes

They don't stand a chance
The assorted other guys

Because when You kiss me
the butterflies still begin to dance
Because ever since the beginning
Since the very start
You have consumed Me
and all of My heart

You have cared for My needs
as a good lover should
With passion and affection

I know We can withstand any affliction
Even through the after math
We will walk down only one path
One of love and absolute devotion

They may tell Us
not to be at this point of commitment
Yet We know who has truly brought Us together
through His divine covenant
Our heavenly Creator

You wrap Me in your arms
My own personal sweater
As I drift into dreams
of Our future Forever
