Where Is The Love? Poem by Emelita C. Smith

Where Is The Love?

We spoke of forever
and promise set a part never
But my darling you have change
No more whispering sweet
nothings when you call
There's no telephone call anymore
No more text messages
You've decided it's a waste
of money after all
You told me honestly
You want to stay away from me slowly
The magic you feel no more
It's only beautiful when it begins
Now it is slowly fading
like the rainbow in the sky
I can not see it anymore
I understand what you're doing
You're making it easy
for me to keep going
Even though you're love is fading
I can't help but shed a tears
I was told there's no forever
But I love you and forget you never
If the love is true the magic will grow
It can never be swayed no matter what it takes
At least that is what I feel for you
If diamond is forever
why not your love for me lover
If the ring I'm wearing lost it's meaning
It will stay on my finger until I'm dying
And in my heart I say forever you will stay.

One of my lonely days… (4/5/2012)
