Where I'M From Poem by Taylor Dee

Where I'M From

i am from washing dishes,
from taking trash out and laundry.
i am from a swingset.
blue shining
it looked like a mini gym.
i am from spider plants,
blue spruces
whose crazy leaves i remember
as if it was my mothers hair.

i am from eyeglasses and deviled eggs.
from lisa, michelle, and chris.
i am from goodnight, dont let the bedbugs bite!
and clean your room.
from you rock! and get a job.
i am from girl scouts
and the picnic table i made.

i am from chapel hills mall and walmart
tacos and mac and cheese.
from embriotic syst surgery
and grandpas tragic death.
from the memory book that hides underneath my bed
i am from these moments and memories.
