Where have the cats gone?
As autumn descends and summer is gone
Nowhere to be seen
Where once they have been.

Where have the cats gone?
As warmth turns to cold
And the sun hides away
Where have they gone to lay?

Where have the cats gone?
As there are empty spaces where the sun once shone
Where they sat warming their coats
Which is what they love most.

Where have the cats gone?
Curled up in a bed
By the warmth of the fire, instead
