Where All Loves Reel? Poem by Dipankar Das

When you walked the road in the autumnal sun
And felt the need for someone to walk by,
I whispered at your ears, and we felt coming nigh,
When we stood still, all our passion desired to run.

Then,

Floating in the warmth of the fragrant air,
You hold my hand, started your untold story...
You sobbed and told me how your pain was rare!
I felt your soft, sudden embrace with glory!

Holding your right hand tight, secretly we started roaming
Through cloudy paths, and came to a juvenile room!
Our sole desire met in, unaffected pleasure foaming...
Strangely you got it wrong, and we saw everything doom.

And,

We 're sweating, staggering on the utopian barge...
A strange longing in the heart remained still...
You told me the truth of life to find love, to submerge
Into the world of lovelessness, where all loves reel... ?

Then, you left away like my morning Angel...
