When Will The Day Come Poem by Chelsea Lybbert

When Will The Day Come

When will the pain die down,
Just enough to allow time to sleep.
When will the hurt fade,
To allow me to relax.
When will the constant nagging,
Of my depression weaken,
To allow a peaceful thought enter my brain.
When can I truly smile,
Without putting up a false face.
When will the thoughts stop crossing,
Of how the trail of blood causes peace.
When will I no longer need my blade,
To help me through the misery.
When will I wake up,
With no regret of still living.
When will I wake up,
And welcome a new day.
When will I wake up,
And be happy to be alive.
