When The Bells of Violence And Ignorance ring. Poem by Sandra Feldman

When The Bells of Violence And Ignorance ring.

Rating: 5.0

As,
They cultivate
Hate,
The atmosphere
Becomes
Less and Less
Breathable and safe.

The Oxygen
Of understanding
And kindness.
Becomes thinner
And thinner,
More and more
Polluted,
With the stench
Of Global hate!
Of violence
And death.

Is this the Atmosphere,
We want to educate
Our children in?
So, they can make
And contribute to
The making of
A better World?

Those that want
To separate,
Got instructions
From hell
And diplomas
That say,
We want to destroy
And make others pay
For crimes they did
Not commit.

Sorry but that's the way
You destroy a Nation
Cutting its heart out,
Violently, selfishly
A bit more,
Every day.

A powerful and incisive write. The opening lines alone can grip a reader right away to go through the whole poem.

I agree with Deluke, one day someone will take note, I hope by then it won't be too late.

Keep lamenting Sandy. One day someone will take note, look in the mirror and change his ways.
