When the dragon came, I turned to my knight
Expecting him to rush out and slay the beast
When the night fell, I turned to my light
Thinking it would cast a glow
In the stormy seas, when my boat faltered,
I looked for the lighthouse to save me from the rocks

I thought you would fight for me
To keep me safe, warm, dry and in light
And instead you turned away
You didn’t run, no
You sauntered away, outwardly calm
Even as you declared your love was strong

I winder if the magic will still find me
Will it find us?
I wonder if I will still believe if it does…
Don’t leave it too late
Because you may not find me here if you do.
