When Night Brought The Time In
What do I regret?
Not a thing, except
The few times I cursed
Or said unkind words
And the last days
When I stayed
In your bed
Head to head
So blithely
Still smiling.
I'll never regret
The day that we met
Or the secrets we whispered
As the starlight kissed us
Or the days
When we lay
Side by side
Until night
Brought the time in
When you were still smiling.
