When Love Dies Poem by Alisha C

When Love Dies

Rating: 4.6

When love dies
Nothing touches your heart
Life loses it's meaning
Emotion mixes with dust
Then you my dear feel lonely
And the cold wind whisper
Bites your ears with touchy lips
The whispering becomes louder
Says, I can feel you ice cold
I can feel you dead
I know you feel nothing
Alive somehow by eating bread
Sometime soul flies
When love dies
when love dies
When love dies.

I wrote the poem 'Petals Blood Red Dark Danced Among Sharp Thorns' inspired by the poem 'The Poet' by the poet Alisha Castle and dedicated to Alisha Castle.

'When love dies Nothing touches your heart Life loses it's meaning Emotion mixes with dust' beautifully written, the wind whispers lonely, I feel you ice cold and the beautifully three times repeated 'When love dies is a wonderful finish to a beautiful poem

When love dies nothing touches your heart - nothing matters - it is numb for sure. Your words and imagery give the feeling of lonely abandonment and emptiness below the surface, rhythm of your poem touches the heart silently as your words enter the mind. Heart touching poem filled with emotion. Give it a 10! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Being emotionless is living like a robot that functions as per directions given through commands given to it's circuit and stop working in it's absence. Thanks for sharing the touching poem.10 points.

Love and pain! Very common on earth; the very ways of mankind. Nice work.
