When I Was Born Poem by Sajad Meer

When I Was Born

When born, I knew not to talk,
Then I grew to talk
And now I talk the Nothing.

When born, I knew not to walk
Then I grew to walk
And now I walk the Nothing

When born, I knew not to eat
Then I grew to eat
And now I eat everything
