When I Remember Poem by David Lovell

When I Remember

Rating: 5.0

I’ve got wings that won’t fly, I’ve got wheels that won’t roll;
I have a broken life, constantly trying to fix things that aren’t right,
But there’s always hope, there’s always peace to be found
When I remember there’s a God who lovingly protects my soul

I trip only when I walk; say the right words except when I speak;
I think great thoughts when there’s no way to write them down
But I get by and in the end everything works together for my good
When I remember God is always found by those who earnestly seek

God, You have so many mysteries I just don’t comprehend
How can You love sinners vile and without excuse?
Why do You want a relationship with us, so weak and of fickle heart?
It helps when I remember God’s love is without an end
