it did not really
take me that long
to learn to
live alone, unlike
that song...

so i went to the
Ocean Park
ate my own hotdog
drank my own
cold tea
had a slice of melon
and later
my own brand of beer


i like the birdshow
these talking birds
and overhead sting rays.

i sit with the
parrots and the mackacks
feed them
honey and took my
selfie.

i know the danger
of being alone
that kind of selfishness
and anti-social
kind of happiness....

it is life that
teaches us
we really have
to survive.....
