When Death Never Does Us Part Poem by Marie J. Christopher

When Death Never Does Us Part

Soul, when death comes to you, my friend,
Descend, will I come to greet you with my most delicate touch,
To welcome you into my kingdom, our home, with much
Much same way your earthly ones want to show someone that they love most;
Engrossed in love, eagerly you reveal your lovely inmost.
So why should I fail to similarly impress you?
Feeling blue, much, much so is my interest on my dearest friend's passing.
The depth of my heart, you can never imagine,
Like vast ocean, or highest mountain, not even remotely close to reality,
For I have loved you so much, more than my life, loved to the folly
As fondly, firmly, I had died for you, and would do so million more,
For you to adore me in life and eternity, with greatest ardor.
Before my eyes is my suffering servant who offers his heartfelt sacrifice
And more than to suffice your great but humble love,
I reply my beloved friend with my infinite divine love
As if your human love is greater than my amour divine;
Now if you are willing, I now merge your life and love into mine.
