Communion Of Thoughts Poem by Marie J. Christopher

Communion Of Thoughts

Be disciple of the Lord with an initial gentle eye contact
Act as a laborer of the field with deeds, words just a few
Be evangelizer of Good News with attractive charm imbued
Passion renewed, surrounded by people, overcome one's shyness
The human sea of unknown roughness, into which soul plunges
Challenges expected, vulnerability ignored, soul cares only for a fisherman's catch
Attaching smile, soul sensually welcomes other to engage
A warm greeting from a sincere heart
Unguarded, genuine heart to bridge the distance from each other apart
Not to care who first starts, two minds eagerly meet to express brotherly friendship
A mutual affection in an instant developes
Gallops into a budding bond without undue reservation
Thoughts are the same, eagerly to be shared
Same sentiment, same faith or basic nature, one avoids a cold stare
Care for one another, a dialogue begins a natural wonderful course
The narrow door, now widely open, to introduce stranger soul to Christ
A holy Communion of thoughts without words, simply single smile enticed
A soul is led to Christ in most unassuming manner
with candor, with good will, but no premeditated plan nor purpose
Pave the way for the divine Grace to engrave on the soul's canvas
A bud of divine love for a plan of soul's salvation
For your part, you simply show your kindness
In the form of a warm genuine smile.
Communion of thoughts begins with its tender sweetness.

(A genuine smile is so important; often it resembles a red rose blooming on bruised lips.)
