When At First I Heard You.. Poem by Sharon Smith

A thought just popped into my head..Ha! ..what made me think of that?
Then that related to something else..for a while there..I just sat..
and thoughts just come into my head..connected to thoughts before..
and while I sat there wondering..in come more and more

Things then connected to other people..they would say what was in my thought..
and answers came in the strangest places..answers to what I sought
What is happening..head is spinning..see messages all around..
Confirmation to the thoughts popping in..are my feet still on the ground?

Then interference coming through..making my stomach turn..
Like flicking a switch..one side to the other..something now to learn?
There must be something wrong with me..because I'm thinking this is God
I think I better go and lay me down..so that off to sleep I'll nod!

Can't seem to settle..something heavy..is weighing down on me..
Seems to be something happening here..something I just can't see
Trying to ignore the fact that God..would bother speaking to one
Tossing and turning through the night..and sleep? ..hardly none.

I finally surrendered to the fact..and yelled 'yes..I believe it's You'
My body then suddenly 'calmed' as such..I asked..what it is I'm to do?
Disbelief still lingering..common sense asking..what's wrong with me?
But I knew then, there was a battle for my soul..fighting something I could not see.





'hear, oh yea My beloved, saith the Lord...
behold, the days of trouble are at hand, but
I will deliver you from the same.
Be ye not afraid, neither doubt, for God is your guide.
