What You Did For Me Poem by Amber Mull

What You Did For Me

he stands there watching from far by
very cautious with a caring and tender eye
he stares and peers waiting to appear
with a bat in one hand and another holds fear
I may not like it from the start
but i know the thoughts come deep from his heart
Ive been through so much and been torn apart
i'm stuck knee deep and need to breath
i may turn back every once in a while
but its cause theres this gap its a huge empty file
i stand here wearing a weary smile
i long and desire for that gap to be filled
so dont give up on me, no not just yet
try a little harder just don't act like we never meet
i cried when you said you'd befriend me if i don't stop
but i don't need that kind of threat
i need a warming thought
im glad you changed your mind
and to be a big brother
I promise you i'm trying its not as easy as i thought
so remember you'll never fail me
no matter what goes on
