What They Say Poem by Jason Caporaletti

What They Say

They say 'it's better to have loved and lost
than never to have loved at all'
But 'ignorance is bliss they say
at least that is what many call.

The mind lets go of many things
but still refuses to forget
the very things most un-blissful
that lead to most sincere regret.

Yet in life's endless turbulent flight
exists a balance like day and night,
perhaps what one truly seeks might
be darkest dark enabling light.
