What Spins My World? Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

What Spins My World?

A day I have dreamed about
But knew would never be,
Despite the odds against it,
Is coming true for me!

The fireworks inside my brain.
And butterflies deep inside.
Have made me topsy turvy,
Like a boy on a roller coaster ride.

What spins my world and fills my mind?
What makes me happy all the time?
What makes me glad that I’m a man?
What thrills my heart like nothing can?

She is the one whose torch I carry?
She is the woman whom I will mary!
What’s sweeter than honey
And precious than pearls?
It’s my beautiful woman
And she spins my world!
