What's In This Game Poem by Jennifer English

What's In This Game

The world is huge,
And so life like it seems,
Even shadows can be seen,
How is it possible not to get lost?

The trees seem to bend,
The game tricks our eyes,
It tries to make us believe,
Dragging us toward it's consuming claws.

Hours it takes to load,
And subscriptions don't last long,
Always paying out to play,
After a while it all blends.

So many games seem alike,
So many pixels to load,
All gamers thinking the same damn thing,
What is it about this game thats so tantalising?
