What's In A Game Poem by Jeremy Lines

What's In A Game

We work so hard to get it right,
Hours of useful playtime wasted.
For this time has been hasted
In hopes of building up our might.
For all of us this time we spend
In hopes you'll notice what we do,
our thoughts we hope you don't construe.
Our only wish that you attend.

The day has come for us to be
All the things you want us to.
But we have different needs from you.
What we want is for you to see
The reason we are on this field today.
Is for you to just watch us play.
