What Love Isn'T Poem by Hala Aby Rustum

What Love Isn'T

Rating: 4.5

I have had
so many
significant others
fluster me
with delusions of love
and I'll probably have
many more
to apprise me
with definitions
of other halves.
I will keep loving
those
one at a time
until I find
one
that will enlighten me
with what love
Isn't.

You are so right, Hala. A great way to add to your understanding of what something is, is to understand what it isn't. Thanks for sharing Peace

Perhaps you should experience depression, frustration and hatred in a stormy lustful relationship. I like the articulation and insight of the piece. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

The contrast of something gives you a better understanding of what it's not...in any case, love is a beautiful thing. Stay blessed
