you may ask
what is love?
love is not a thing
for the gallant or the weak
though both heard it
amongst its sweetest gale
of a storm brewed
in the depths of oceans
and the skyline mounting
the highest peak.
sweet as a rose
hard as a pavement
as fiery as the sand
upon the coastline
of an uncharted sea.
you may ask,
what is love?
and angels may whisper
is it the desire?
of that forbidden fruit.
that all have perished
the sweetness of heaven for?
love!
not for the first time
not for the last
it is the desire
that the gods back in heaven,
has long forgot.
love!
it does not mend
nor does it heal
but to those who know,
do worship it!
for the gods have made
fate unto men
that love may rule
those who have no sense.
what is love?
passion and lust
a beautiful heart
over a broken world.
the desire to hold
what is pure
what is true
and what is all
but me and you.
