What In Your Right Mind Is The Heart Thinking? Poem by Bill Darrah

To write poetry of a different kind sometimes deserves a calm and
Soothing mind patiently waiting for the heart to find what it
Desires just at the right time the mind never knows what words to
Rhyme until the heart knows what to say on each and every line
To deepen the passion the person has so greatly intertwined
Inside the heart and mind trying to decide which one should be left
Behind-the heart or the mind-and which one should be used more
Frequently for the words the person chooses to say what is on the
Heart or on the mind.
To some people it sounds peculiar to say what is on the mind
Before what is on the heart since poetry is usually stimulated from a
Passion the mind can only think about expressing but can not feel
Fulfilled until the heart is appealing the busy mind with the words
It must try to rhyme to give poetry the most wonderful flowing time.
