What If? Poem by H Seeking

What If?

Rating: 2.5

Shall I tell thee how much I care?
Shall I tell thee things I do not dare?
Shall I forego my not so perfect life
Be tempted to try bliss with strife?

Our lives are fine
We have no time
To try things anew
To connect us like sinew

But then fills in my soul
A longing untold
What if...
What if I behold

You are the one
My moon, my sun.
One that is always fun
Can this life be undone?

Find the perfect way to grow old
In arms not so cold
With many a tale yet untold
If only I were bold..

Perhaps someday
We will find a way
Fortune to sway
And only our hearts obey..

So until then my love
Just wait for the dove
With a message from above
Perhaps it is best for now?
