What If...? Poem by emmanuelle sanders

What If...?

('Dreaming ain't tiring.
It's just the fulfillment of it that'll make you work hard.
Real hard.')

I have so many thoughts in my mind
'Tis so much, I cannot bind.
But I'd like to share some with you,
For we might have the same thoughts too.

What if I'd grow old now,
Accomplish my mission, then take a bow?
Would it be a solution to all my fears,
Or would it just be a nuisance to all my dears?

What if I'd live somewhere,
Like in Canada, France, or the house over there?
It might be a good idea, an answer to my dream.
It could also be a bad thing as it may seem.

What if I won't go to school?
I'd just lie down on my bed and drool.
I'm away from everything, like my teacher's wrath,
But I would not know how to do math.

What if I tell someone that he is the one I adore?
Will he shout and jump, or will he just shut his door?
Just hoping that no one knows the next day,
For it would be, very much, my dismay.

Now that I've opened up and shared,
Should I forget it, or should you beware?
Well, I'll just hope and pray,
That things tomorrow would be going my way.
