What I Want To Be Poem by Daya Nandan

What I Want To Be

I want to be prepared like a Japanese samurai,
Ready to swing my katana in the blink of an eye,
Slashing and stabbing enemies without a care,
With the knowledge of bushido for generations to share,

I want to be a martial artist who knows no fear,
Doesn’t matter if the dangers are far or even near,
Fearless against nunchucks, blades and firearms,
I want to be skilled enough to evade all harms,

I want to help save people that are being abused,
Save the innocent from manipulation and being accused,
I want to be a bringer of justice to the world of sin,
Unlock surging power which is my immeasurable strength within,

I want to be the greatest fighter the world has ever seen,
I want them to say “i was the greatest there had been',
I want to be the legend that fighters hear about,
I want the world to fear my skills without a single doubt,

I want to be the inspiration for the generations ahead,
Those who will still mention my name after i am dead,
I want to be a hero to make a mark on the world,
The bedtime story parents read to every young boy and girl.
