What I Feel Like... Poem by Cassie Lowe

I feel pain,
I feel grief,
I feel as if I got punched in the heart.
I feel as if I lost what was important to me,
I feel like I can't feel anything,
Like nothing matters anymore.

I feel as if I want to cry,
But nothing falls from my eyes.
I feel like I can't breathe,
Like something is blocking my airway.
I feel like I might as well just die,
I feel like I would rather get run over by a car and die.

I can't live like this no more.
I want to end the pain,
But I don't know how.
I can't get it off my mind,
The image won't go away,
The pain hurts on the inside,
The pain feels like it has scorched my heart.
I feel as if I just want to die to stop the pain on the inside.

Make the pain stop.
Make it go away forever,
I can't get it to stop hurting.
The pain is like a non-going flame of fire in my heart.
The flame won't go away so I can't breathe normal.
I want it to disappear and go away, but it won't.
