does the sick body
need care medicine
healing or punishment,
the same can be said
and is equally true
of a sick soul,
in need of understanding
healing love compassion,

healing will not occur
in yet more punishment
inflicted upon a victim
crushed in pain punishment
healing can only blossom
in the light of a love gifted
