When my eyes were brighter
I saw the spectrum
of colorful blessings
filling my atomic structure

now my primary sense
is touch
what is nature to you?

I feel nature
pine needle points
gooey sap
smooth rocks
weighty rocks
pointed rocks
jagged edges
splinters
the sting of redwood
under skin
I feel the bite
of the insects
the hairs of a bears
hide stuck to crusty
bark
I feel the cold water
rushing next to hot rock
I feel dust
grains and gravel
I feel dew on leaves

I fill my senses
by feeling
naturally
