i do not want you in the past
neither shall i desire to meet you in the future
do not be mistaken
there is nothing too to make you mine
even today

i have made the choice
just myself sitting at night in the park
the post unlighted
the air is cold
i keep the fire burning in my heart
learning to live my way through
this darkness

there is so much to learn
and so many things to accept
there is so much to unlearn
recall and then forever forget.
