What Did I Do Wrong? Poem by nicolas thomas

What Did I Do Wrong?

What did I do wrong?
We were, now we’re not
Don’t say the love is gone
Because I know it’s not
Hello, can you hear me?
Why did it end?
Tell me, because I can’t see
I know you see the message I send
So why don’t you reply?
Would it kill you to tell me?
And stop with your lie
I’m not blind, I can see
If your aim is to make me cry
You have won years ago
I am not over you
You drive me crazy
It’s not something new
You say I should treat you like a lady
And I have tried
But I can’t take your lies any more
And all you did was throw me to the side
Till you pushed me out the door
Oh, just tell me the truth

A top-of-the-line poem, Nicholas! But do correct the double negative: But I can’t take your lies no more. Change to either: But I can't take your lies any more. OR But I can take your lies no more. OR But I can't take your lies... No more! (And I really hope she stops lying to you!)
