The rain swells the streets with its horrid tears
It drowns us in sadness with its thin trickles of water
Oh, how I wish it was hotter
How I wish you were near
The rain stabbed my heart, like sharp spears
How far away is an honest land
Or the days, when I had you
By the palm of my hand
The skies are stolid and bleak
As my expression when you’re away
My heart is horrid and weak
Once, and always on this terrible day
I try to lie to you, I try to be meek
Yet, in the hidden realms of my mind
All I want to say is
Please don’t take him, I’m the one you seek!
