Wet Dry Shoes Poem by Jesse Swedlund

Wet Dry Shoes

Suppose you had two pairs of shoes,
One wet, one dry, you must choose.
The wet shoes get wet and wet they'll stay,
The dry shoes stay dry, all through the day.
The wet ones are tough and serve well as you work,
The dry ones are comfy and warm, it's a perk.
Now imagine one day that your dry shoes got soaked,
My guess is that you would not be too stoked.
But the thing is it will happen eventually,
And how you react, my friend, is the key.
So as you go back, into the world,
Know that sometimes plans come unfurled,
But that's sure no reason to quit and fold,
You've done this, you can do anything, stand tall, be bold.
