Welcome Back Poem by Jennifer Ashton

Welcome Back

I sit here
In my room,
With a razor,
In my hand.
I run my fingers,
Over the blades.
Longing for
The feeling,
That feels like home.

As the sharp blade,
Slices my wrist,
My heart,
Beats faster.
The feeling,
I've been longing,
Has returned.
Welcome back.
