Weight Poem by McKennaKate Gaudio

Weight

The feeling of darkness weighing on me.
Like a stalker I never can flee.
Calling me farther and farther away.
While everyone else begs me to stay.

I'm really not sure how I got to this place.
Where every second seems like a waste.
The weight becomes heavier everyday,
But I promise you that I'm okay.

And when this weight becomes too much to bare,
I promise myself that you don't care.
Now with nothing left to help me cope.
I can't stay here, so I hang from the rope.
