Weekend Trains Poem by bob barci

Weekend Trains

Rating: 5.0

My weekends
are filled with train rides.
Train rides that bring me
from my home to yours.
Sometimes I tire of all the trains,
but, ya know,
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If it weren’t for all those trains
how would I be spending my weekends?
I’ve forgotten what I did before train rides.
I really don’t worry about those days now.
As far as I’m concerned,
train rides are here to stay.
A train ride enabled me
to come and spend this time with you.
And regretfully, a train ride will part us.
But in parting,
I find myself looking forward
to the next train ride that brings us together.
I find train rides full of adventure.
You never know
who you’ll meet
or what will happen.
Train rides,
what would I do without them?
