Wedlock With Loneliness Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Wedlock With Loneliness

Rating: 4.5

How long, how long,
Shall last this cold wedlock with loneliness,
Who daily caresses you with smoky hands
That dares to freeze you,
And of love it dares to bereaves you.

Oh no, oh no,
you have crouch too long,
In the bruising huts of your past,
Paid too much rent to vacancy
Years and days had moved on so fast,
But here you are,
Face down like a fallen star,
Blinded from who you are,
A starry heart crowned from afar.

Now encircle every pieces of you
From this floor of solitude,
And get yourself off the grip
Of the pains of broken rib,
My lips hunger for a kiss,
And all the sweet memories I miss.
Give love a second chance
Let someone fill this space
And the sun of my face
Would rise once again
And soon I'd dance in the rain.
