Wedge In My Soul Poem by Mayar Akash

Wedge In My Soul

Wedge In My Soul

What am I doing here
I should be with my son
Being a father, being there

You've taken the father away from the son
You dictate the fatherhood

You have / are now shaping and sizing
Controlling my future and destiny

My future and destiny is with my son
My flesh and blood, in it.

Long as he is alive- he affects the
course of my future and destiny

whether he loves me or hates me
he claims my life

this distance - wedges pain in my soul
my son is a matter of my soul

not just my life, my heart, my love or even my mind
he's my soul

you are turning him against me
whether deliberate or not, he is changing

he's maturity is being prematurely accelerated
which is unfair to his infanthood.
