We Two Were Walking Together Poem by Amitava Sur

We Two Were Walking Together

Rating: 4.3

Walking in a misty night –
It was moon lit then.
We two were walking through
Firmly holding our hands.

Snow bids were falling around us
Like flower petals were welcoming us.
My love being held in my hand
I felt to be strolling in heaven.

She was smiling and staring at me
With a comforting joy in her eyes.
My happiness knew no bound
Seeing her to be with delight.

Walking in a misty night –
It was moon lit then.
We walked past the stars and moon
Along the galaxy we were walking then.

A land of love and sublime peace
Was there all around.
I was walking with my love along
And witnessed the Paradise both.

We two were walking through
Firmly holding her hands.

A lovely poem to read, thanks for presenting it. In the lines of the first and the last stanzas: 'Firmly holding her hands.' - If you substitute 'her' by 'our', methinks it would sound nicer, but of course, the choice is yours. 'My love being held in my hand I felt to be strolling in heaven.' - Beautiful! I too love holding hands of my loved ones. I have many poems where I've mentioned it.

Walking through the misty moonlit evening, enjoying the comforting closeness of your love. Happiness holding no bounds as you held her hands. A very touching poem, Amitava, beautiful expression of your love. A gentle quietness appears from within your poem and brings a calm serenity. Wonderful poem. Love it. RoseAnn
