We The People
Born out of revolution, We
Came to believe in hopes and dreams,
Decided on democracy,
Making mistakes with human schemes
Like slavery and theft by force,
But changing ways of heart and mind,
Striving to find a better course
To benefit all humankind.
Progress but not perfection yet,
We strive together to achieve
True freedom for all and to let
The future know We still believe.
We the People of U.S.A.
A better nation come what may.
Striving together is always excellent! Then we are strongest and will achieve for sure what we had in mind. Look in the past of USA, that striving together had always greatest success, though not many people believe that. Powerful poem and very touching! 5 Stars full
