We Suppose Poem by Shalom Freedman

We Suppose

WE SUPPOSE

We suppose we are real
Perhaps we are
For a time-

We suppose
We can do things that will last
Perhaps we can
Though it is doubtful

We suppose that somehow
We will go on living
When we are not here on earth
Perhaps we will
Though it seems unlikely

We suppose
That everyone we truly care for Will also somehow live forever
We suppose and do not know And will never know for certain

We hope
And we pray.

Yeah, there remains a lot of doubt in us in many subjects. It is better not to think about them and move on. A nice poem. Thanks for sharing.
