We Cannot Live With The Alternative Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Upon receiving his
Presidential Nomination
Eric Cockrell replied

"they'd have me shot
the first week...

i have too little tolerance for bullshit,
and am too hard headed
to keep my mouth shut! "

Terence Craddock replied
"I would be shot
before I could
be sworn into office

but I have been
to the mountain top;


too many are prepared to die for wars
of injustice and greed,
too few are prepared to pay the ultimate

price for peace, but
we cannot live with the alternative;
thereby our choices are made."
