Way Past Due Poem by the Nickster

Way Past Due

I thought about the things I've done-
How had I benefitted from their outcome?
I remembered doing some things for good reasons
While other things engulfed me for a season
Can't say all I've done has brought me happiness
But, I can say Through it all, my spirit has been blessed
All that I've done really doesn't matter
if the matters of my heart are scattered
I see nothing wrong with doing for you
It's just that doing for me, is way past due.
