Way Back Into Love Poem by Shagun Khera

Way Back Into Love

Sitting alone in the corners of my room
Like silence condemned for an eternal gloom
Lost in the thoughts of a never ending pain
Drowning deep in the pelting rain! !

Push me down and pull me up
Oh I'm lost way back into love
I hear no screams and there ain't no noise
All there is a river of my cries
I'm ready to leave, but not ready to die
Take me away from the aching lies
So push me down and pull me up
Oh I'm lost way back into love

I hear them sing a melancholy flute
Whispers of joy swallowed by doom
And there is no comfort, there aint no hope
This broken heart, is way too cold
To the warmth of a hug or a tight embrace
This frozen comfort has me in a daze..
Forgotten my way back to the place
Where I should be, but I'm already late…

Oh push me down and pull me up
Oh I'm lost way back into love
I hear no screams and there ain't no noise
All there is a river of my cries
I'm ready to leave, but not ready to die
Take me away from the aching lies

And if you meet me across that parallel lane
Look into my eyes and you'll know my name
Don't jostle me up if I'm not awake
For I bid adieu to the foreign skies
And hope my pain gets a final sigh…

Oh push me down and pull me up
Oh I'm lost way back into love
I hear no screams and there ain't no noise
All there is a river of my cries
