Waves Of Words Poem by Kaitey Cat

Waves Of Words

Words,
much like waves,
wash over you.
Slowly wearing you down.

Some are kind,
they caress you with soft fingers and gentle hands,
Most are not.

These words are rough and harsh,
they drench you in a cold truth you do not, should not,
need to hear.

Those words drag you and rip off your mask,
The colors of your mask turn to black,
and those gems turn to ash,
which stains your fingers and soul forever.

Then there are alot of words,
that float over your head,
just barely touching it.
They see me,
not as me,
but as a gentic blur in the crowd,
which will leave there mind forever....

And my mind and pen will remember every word said forever and always.
