Waters Sordid Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Waters Sordid

the waters sordid raise
the current flow
at dawn the earth was
waiting just to strike a
blow.
it was rewarded...
the waters of the lake
they breathed...
a tepid sun shone on them
already
a Poet Seer was passing
by the salt-pans looking
looking eagerly
to tiptoe
not to trip..
silhouette of shadow of
the Poet-Seer
figure
against the lights of Dawn
it grew
and grew...
for in dark absolute
where would the silhouette
impress?
behind
stealthy followed a Figure
blacker than black
it carried some large tool
it stole and stole
after
behind the Poet-Seer...
